A bit late for this Chirstmas (since it’s February
but def would look great on our tree for next yr. The kids helped string popcorn and cranberries this year. I love these! -

Been a while since I’ve stopped by your blog… busy here! First floor house remodel coming to a close. Knitting, cooking, hubby & children keeping me busy. Looking forward to starting seeds & planning this year’s garden. THinking of adding raspberry bushes, blue berry bushes & possibly a grape vine this year.

Canner is full of pints of pears this evening. They should be out in about 12 min- then it’s ping, ping, ping
A big “One Day Produce Sale” at our little grocery store in our town tomorrow is tempting me- 5# of apples for $2.88… WOW!! Too bad I just cut & froze 9# of apples I bought last week (saved 3# back for eating). I seasoned them…[Read more] -

Enjoyed the Mother Earth News Fair in Seven Springs last weekend! Attended a lot of wonderful classes in a variety of subjects, but after the Backyard Rabbitry class & the Home Butchering class, along with currently reading Storey’s Guide To Raising Rabbits (Bennet) We’re feeling more confident about raising meat rabbits. I am totaly excited about the MEN Fair!! I have canned all sorts of things: lots of tomato “stuff” (various sauces, whole, crushed, & stewed), dilly beans, relishes: corn, sweet pickle, & green tomato (picalilli), pears, peach pie filling, peach apple salsa, various tomato salsas, pickled hot peppers, escabeche, peach bbq sauce, & I’m sure…[Read more]
