Hubby and I are growing indian corn for fall decorating. It seems small in comparison to the sweet corn. Is this usual? also any tips to keep critters off the corn when it starts to produce ears?

Instead of using the tool Johnny’s sells, many just use a simple eye dropper and put 5 drops on the corn ear where the silk emerge from the ear.

    • A few drops of veggie oil will keep the ear worms out. I keep some in a spray bottle and spray it on the ends.
I’m not sure on the size of the ears, but it’s very early in the season depending on where you live? They might have a lot of growing time left. What type are you growing?
