I was wondering if anyone is getting an error message when they post a NEW forum topic? Not in the activity stream but in the main forum. I do get an error but when I go back and refresh it my post is there. This doesn’t seem to happen on replies only new topic posts. I’m trying to figure out the problem, but I was wondering if it was just me or not.
That’s to funny, I posted that and didn’t get any errors!
Hi Kim… I tried to post last week and got an error. I had a nice long post all typed out, tried to post and it all disappeared. I didn’t think to let you know at the time.
Actually… I just checked… my post is there now (the one about “Fruit Trees I Grow”). I’m not getting replies to my post, but perhaps I need to check my settings.
@6foot7Giant Ah ok so it’s not just me then! Yes the post still go through, but they take a minute to show. I posted a support request for the plugin I think is causing the trouble.
As for not getting replies, you might have your settings for only new topics?
I’ve had that happen a few times. If it happens again try this…. at least it worked for me so that I didn’t have to start all over. Click your back button on your browser so it brings up the prior page (should be the one that had all of your information on it prior to hitting the post button). Then I highlight and copy it just in case I need to paste it in the text box in future. Then try resending it through. Sometimes it will go through the second time. If it doesn’t that cancel the post and try from scratch by pasting the information you saved into the text box. I have had to do this both ways already but finally got it to go through.
Wendy when I go back my post is gone, but if I refresh the page it shows me that it already posted. It’s an error in one of the programs here causing it to not finish the posting process properly. But they are looking into it for me. I always get the weird problems. LOL!
I’ve turned off the program that was causing the errors. So everyone should be able to post in the forum without any trouble. They are working on a fix for the bug and hopefully I’ll be able to turn it back on soon.
