John finished the railings on the deck. We had to take the deck completely apart and redo most of it. He added on to it, making it huge and it goes right in front of the garden, but assures me it won’t cast a shadow

I’ve turned off the program that was causing the errors. So everyone should be able to post in the forum without any trouble. They are working on a fix for the bug and hopefully I’ll be able to turn it back on soon.

Supermoon was a bust. They said that it would be at its closest and largest around 1130 pm, but if you ask me the best time to see it was when it was first coming up. Then it was HUGE!

Evening Everyone, We have been busy this spring with outdoor projects and keeping up with the weeds and seedlings. It is very dry here, most of the weeds in the field are dried up, there are a few tumble weeds trying to hang on but few and far between. I am already having to water almost every day. Hoping for some good rain soon.

It’s starting to get hot here to! But we have a chance of rain/thunderstorms for the next 4 days. I’m working on getting the raised beds turned over. I’m hopping to transplant my onions and the cabbage today.

Sorry that the site was down late yesterday and this morning. Our site was hit by a spammer/spam bot that tried to login so many times our server was shut down. GRRRR I’ve added an extra login feature that I hope will help.

What is wrong with these people! They need to garden and hang their wash outside!

I’m sorry everyone, I’m still having some hiccups with the site. I’ve switched back to the default theme until I can track down the problem. Not as pretty but I think everything is working.
I’ll try to get things settled soon, it’s just a very busy weekend for us here!-
I can sign in the regular way now!! But the blue is pretty!

Ok, I think I have it working ok now. At least the sidebar login is working on my old theme again. If anyone has trouble please post here, or if you can log in use the contact me tab or our facebook page.

I’m still working on the site. I’m sorry that the sidebar login is working on and off. The login in the top menu bar does work. I *think* the sidebar is working ok now. But please let me know if there is anymore trouble!

I don’t separate toilet paper but we do buy quantities on sale when we can. We do that with some things we use all the time. We don’t have satellite or cable but spend a lot of time outside now. I use coupons for some things but I find that most of the coupons are for items that still more expensive than the generic brand even with the discount. Good point! I do stand in the aisle too and calculate things out by the ounce or lb. or whatever unit they are using. It’s amazing what you think is a good deal is even better in a different size.

They like to put sales on larger items, but if you calculate it out.. most of the time you can get two smaller packages of the item and it is cheaper. For example.. many stores will put 28 ounce canned goods on sale, but if you do the math .. you will find that 2 – 15 1/2 ounce cans will actually be several cents cheaper and you get a bit…[Read more]

Evening Everyone,
We had a very windy day here, good clothes drying weather if you don’t mind dirt blowing into your clean clothes.
I changed over my clothes today, light weight clothes are washed, ironed and ready to wear. Heavier clothes are packed and ready to be sent to the storage building.

You will never guess! It is snowing and cold today, the temp right now is 44*. At least I hadn’t hauled my winter clothes tote out to the storage and could get some warm pants to wear. Too funny.

Anyone doing Swedish genealogy? This Sat. is Genealogy Day in Sweden. ArkivDigital is opening their archives for free for the weekend. Just download their software (English version available) and set up an account. With the time difference it will open to us in North America this evening.

Good Morning All,
It is rainy and a little snowy here this morning, not a good morning for walking or outside work. We are getting the house in order, dishes, laundry, cleaning, that sort of thing. Later I will be doing some crochet, we are making baby blankets for charity.
What are you doing this fine day?

The day started out sunny, but then turned overcast and rainy. Nice and warm though…..a real tease to get one’s spring fever going. Today I took my daughter to the orthodontist and tonight I am working on my quilting.

Today is a little cooler but nice to get around in. We melted a lot of snow the past few days so it’s a lot easier to walk around. I am preparing for a stamp class for Saturday this afternoon. I’m sorry I haven’t been on very much! We seem to just keep passing these bugs around to each other. Then I’ve been busy getting my seeds started and switching our computers from Windows to Linux. I’ll start popping back in a bit more.
