I love this spelling idea! I’ve seen premade programs that are similar but very expensive.

This looks like a really good grammar book for younger children. After each lesson are some games to play.

Hello All, I’m Lynn! I homeschool my daughter 11 years old and my son 14. We are beginning a new chapter in our homeschool journey as my son enters the high school years. I’m sad about this and excited about it at the same time. I just wanted to introduce myself.
Blessings,
Lynn

Welcome Lynn. I have a 14 year old daughter that I have homeschooled the last 3 years. She would like to go to the public school for high school and at this time, she is enrolled for fall. That may change though as her best friend (who attends the public school) is moving to Green Bay this weekend.

Welcome Lynn! It’s amazing how fast the time goes by isn’t it? My oldest will be starting grade 5 this year. Not to far away from high school now!

Anyone making changes in their school plans? Have you found curriculum that you thought would work well but didn’t? Have you found any new favorites?

is anyone out there homeschooling year round? what are the pros and cons of it? my husband and i are considering it for next summer. we homeschool our 7 yr old and enjoy it very much but want to get other opinions on the topic. thanks!
-
We homeschool year round, well mostly. I took a lot of last summer off because we just needed a break. We still did a lot of reading and nature studies.
I love going year round because it means when we need a break or we’er sick etc. I don’t have to worry about finding time to make up work or deciding what we need to drop.
It takes time to…[Read more] -
I home school my 13 year old daughter and we go year around. I find schooling year around much easier than the traditional school year. There is no hassles after a 3 month break to try and get her back into the daily structure.
I live in Wisconsin which says we must complete 875 hours of education per year. What I do is to do school about 3-4…[Read more]
