Last night I fell asleep to snow pounding the house, this morning I woke up the to news talking about a mess of freezing and that the buses and schools were closed. It didn’t look THAT bad outside to me, but we did have some huge icicles hanging form the house. It is suppose to rain for the next few days, with a below 0 wind chill at night that might make for some messy roads.
So since hubby was going to be home for a good part of the day, I decided we’d take the day off to get caught up on some projects. Some of the kids have been a little under the weather the past few days, so some extra rest would do them good. I spent some time going over some curriculum changes. I’m going to be adding in some more math stories ie. living math projects. I think this will work great especially for our oldest.

Hello! I’m so glad I found your blog and your videos! Those are some HUGE icicles! We are kind of warm here in Indiana…strangely enough. It’s usually really cold here by now. I did work in our little garden yesterday…it felt so nice to get my hands really dirty!! I moved old grass clippings and piled them on my raised beds. I have been canning chicken vegetable soup starters today. Our local grocery store had a big sale on frozen vegetables and I bought more than my freezer could handle so I decided to can them! (with my home made chicken broth, of course!) Blessings to you and your family.
