Our favorite one is going to the Christmas tree farm. It is about 15 mins from our house. We all bundle up, and jump in the van. Some years we have had -50 with the wind chill on the cutting down the tree day. Once there, we are all so happy that the cold doesn't stop us from walking to the shack and say hello to the friends we have made over the years. After dad decides who will carry the saw we trudge through snow to the field. We walk around and together we pick the perfect tree. It is amazing how frozen toes promotes unity. After we enjoy a horse drawn hay ride we warm up with some hot chocolate, apple cider and peanuts. Its always a wonderful day!
